This Live Group Coaching Program will increase your understanding of CBT, what anxiety is, what maintains it, and equip you with key Cognitive Behavioural Therapy skills and techniques to self manage your worry and anxiety.
Anna Ashworth is a qualified CBT and fully accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). The BABCP oversee the standards of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in the UK. After achieving a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree and Master’s degree in Addictive Behaviour, Anna worked within the NHS for 15 years, working with service users with complex mental health and substance misuse issues.
What is Anxiety?

The aim of the first session is to increase your understanding of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), anxiety, and what is maintaining it. We will focus on the links between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and the unhelpful thinking styles that underlie all the different mental health disorders.
Interventions
8pm Wed 15th September
During this session you should start to learn how to manage your anxiety. I will explain the key recommended interventions for worry and anxiety. I’ll share lots of examples to demonstrate the use of the interventions and encourage the use of the downloadable information sheets and worksheets.
Building Tolerance to Uncertainty
8pm Wed 22nd September
This session focuses on the benefits of calm breathing, progressive muscle relaxation and using imagery in managing anxiety. Anna will guide you step by step through all 3 exercises so you can practice them in your own time and embed them into your daily weekly routine.
Reflection Drop-in Session
8pm Wed 29th September
In this reflection session your will have a chance to ask any questions to Anna. She will also take you through some important exercises to make sure you have started to understand yourself. In return learning how to manage your anxiety in the future.

Once your have purchased your place on the program you will receive emails on how to access the live sessions. This is facilitated through Zoom in a private meeting. Make sure you have access to Zoom prior to the first coaching session.

All the exercises will be available to download for each week from the wellbeing hub.
One of the main benefits of the Group Coaching Program is that you build a peer to peer support network with other people on the program. Also we setup a private facebook group for all attendees that want to engage with people.
